Monday's Lessons

1.  Making lasagna is easy.  Making lasagna for four adults and five small children can get out of hand.  We weighed our homemade lasagna last night - 16.8 pounds!!!  Safe to say there is over 1/2 of a pan left.

2.  There are no competency tests for technicians who answer your calls at Dish Network.  Our local channels have been out for 10 days.  On the first day they told me it was their problem and they were working on it.  On the sixth day they said it was our problem and a technician needed to come out.  On the eighth day the technician forgot about us.  on the eleventh day the technician fixed the problem in 10 minutes and we now have two free months of dish.  Still doesn't help the fact that we dealt with 25 idiots before getting someone here who knew what was going on.  How I missed my 6:00 news and my prime time shows.  We won't talk about what would have happened if there would have been a twelfth day!

3.  Our department at work must be awful.  We have lost two paras in the past few months and are new losing a secretary.  Am I that awful to work with?

4.  I don't need a housekeeper after all.  I would like one but I don't NEED one.  I chickened out and couldn't accept paying someone to do what I should be doing.

5.  Winter is coming.  Might as well accept it and find the winter gear.

6.  I apologize to my bridesmaids for making you wear ugly dresses!!!  I apologize to our wedding guests for making you sit in the church for so long after the wedding!!!  No matter when you get married, your dresses will be out of style within, say, 2 weeks.  And when you have 300+ guests at your wedding, it's probably not a good idea to great each and every person before they leave the church!  Ben just had our videos burned to a DVD and I watched them last night.  It was fun and it brought back many memories.  My friends are fun and crazy, I was skinny eight years ago and our wedding consultant, well, never mind.
