Furniture

When we built our house almost three years ago we had the pleasure of buying a new dining room set.  After three different tables were delivered, we finally had one that worked.  Over the past couple of years the corners have warped causing the leaf not to work correctly.  When we bought our table we bought the insurance for three years.  To our surprise they agreed to replace our table.

Today the new table was delivered.  It looks exactly like our old one just with a few hundred fewer scratches.  So when I watched the delivery guy put his metal clip board down on the table I started to cringe.  Before I could say anything he spun that darn thing 180 degrees so I could sign the delivery slip.  Yup, you guessed it.  They dummy put a big half circle scratch right in the middle of the new table.  I pointed it out to him as I don't think he knew he did it.  He went to the truck, got some wood markers and thought he could fix it.  Nope.  So now we call to schedule a tech guy to come out and try to fix it.  I tell you though, if that scratch doesn't come out, they will be bringing me a new table and I guarantee you I will not let the delivery guy set a metal clipboard on it.

The problem would have been solved if he would have used his head in the first place!  Aargh...  Did I mention they were 1 hour and 20 minutes late to the three hour delivery slot we were supposed to be in???

Note to self, buy furniture at a garage sale.  Then it doesn't matter when it gets beat up.
